Professional Profile

Abby P. Rosmarin is a member of our Mediation & Arbitration Practice Group and concentrates her practice on alternative dispute resolution. Abby draws on her training and experience in law, conflict resolution and mental health to mediate a wide range of family disputes, including divorce, custody and visitation, parent/child, trusts and estates, elder care and planning, as well as those arising in the context of family-owned businesses. Abby is both an attorney and a NY State Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Abby‘s legal practice included commercial litigation and nearly 10 years as the Assistant General Counsel to Peugeot Motors of America. She also mediates commercial and employment disputes.

Abby serves on a variety of court-affiliated dispute resolution panels. She is a New York State Certified Guardian for Alleged Incapacitated Persons, trained in special education mediation, and understands the particular issues involving those with special needs. She is a founding member of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators, a member of the Association of Conflict Resolution, Elder Decision-making and Conflict Resolution sections, the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York, the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation, and the New York Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy. She is also a member of the New York and California State Bars as well as the Westchester Women’s Bar Association, where she is co-chair of the mediation committee. She also serves as the Executive Director of the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals.
