  • Fowler Participates in Law Day of National Multiple Sclerosis Society

    John A. Fowler participated in the New York City Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Law Day, which was held in New York City on November 9, 2003. On that occasion John offered his services on a pro bono basis to give legal advice on wills, trusts, powers of attorney and living wills and health care proxies to persons who attended the meeting. Each session with a client lasted one half hour and he offered to prepare documents in situations where they were warranted and requested.

    On July 15th through July 17, 2003, Philip T. Temple  participated in a two and one-half day conference in Middlebury, Vermont on planned giving matters for Middlebury College and its peer group of schools.

  • Senator Joe Lieberman Visits Firm

    June 19, 2003

    on June 19, 2003, the firm hosted a reception for presidential candidate, Senator Joe Lieberman. Senator Lieberman fielded questions from local attorneys, including lawyers from the firm and members of the Westchester Women's Bar Association. Frank W. Streng, a co-administrative partner of the firm, said: “Our firm was pleased to provide a forum for Senator Lieberman to answer questions and explain his views on domestic and international policies.” According to another partner of the firm, Kathleen Donelli, one such view of the Senator was how the Bush tax cuts would negatively impact on everyone except the very wealthy. Mr. Streng recalls the Senator’s statement that, as a result of the tax cuts, there would be massive budget deficits that both harm the economy and compromise the government’s ability to spend monies on important programs, such as homeland security matters.
