In addition to their experience on patent work and other Intellectual Property issues, McCarthy Fingar's Intellectual Property lawyers represent clients on a variety of related issues. Here, Peter D. Aufrichtig represented a major Nutritional Supplement client in a series of litigations in Federal Courts around the country enjoining various Competitors who made claims for their products which improperly argued for their products’ superiority over the Client’s products. Through use of scientific studies and analysis of the alleged support of the Competitor’s claims, Peter was able to enjoin each of the unfounded claims of the Competitors and in some cases also recover significant monetary damages for the Client.

Streng, who heads our Surrogate's Court Litigation group, will be the chair and moderator of a program entitled "Power of Attorney: Practice and Litigation under the New Law" for the Trusts & Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. The program, which will also be offered as a "web cast", will take place on June 12, 2012 at the Concierge Center (780 Third Avenue at 48th Street).

Milena S. Mishev Joins Firm & Intellectual Property Group as Partner
We are pleased to announce that Milena S. Mishev has joined the firm as a partner and is a member of our Intellectual Property group, which is chaired by Peter D. Aufrichtig. Milena brings to McCarthy Fingar a decade of experience in trademark and unfair competition law, as well as copyright law. As a member of our Intellectual Property group, which also includes Peter D. Aufrichtig and David A. Menken, Milena will serve clients in a number of capacities, including business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, trade secret protection, and various other intellectual property and information technology matters. Many of Milena’s clients are based outside the United States, particularly in Europe. Milena is also qualified as a European attorney, accredited to the practice of law in Bulgaria. "We are pleased and honored to add Milena to our firm’s roster of highly skilled and talented lawyers," said Frank W. Streng, a Co-Administrative Partner of the firm. "Milena’s distinguished background in intellectual property law will make her an asset to our firm and our clients."
