David A. Menken, a member of our Corporate & General Business and Intellectual Property groups, will participate in a panel discussion on the Application of Technology in Financial Fraud Prevention and Identity Theft and Data Protection on February 23, 2012 at the International Asian Conference of the Information Technology Law Association in Bangalore, India. David will also lecture on "Government Use of Social Media."

Donelli Lectures on Ethical Issues for Lawyers
Kathleen Donelli, who is a Collaborative lawyer and heads up our Matrimonial & Family Law group, will be part of a panel discussion on February 5, 2012 entitled "Ethics and Professionalism Update 2012" in White Plains, New York at Pace University School of Law. The panel will review the Rules of Professional Conduct. After an overview and update, the panel will use a hypothetical to examine issues including advertising, solicitation, client relations, conflicts of interest, dealing with represented and unrepresented parties, specialization, competence, prosecutorial abuse and civility.

Newfield Elected to Executive Committee of NYSBA's Trusts & Estates Section
Lisa Newfield, who chairs our Charitable Gift Planning and Exempt Organizations groups and co-chairs our Trusts & Estates group, was elected to the Executive Committee of the Trusts & Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and is a Vice Chair of the section's Charitable Organizations committee.

Frank W. Streng, who chairs our Surrogate’s Court Litigation group and co-chairs our Trusts & Estates group, was reelected to the Executive Committee of the Trusts & Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and Chairs the section's Continuing Legal Education committee.
